Delicious Bannana Bread!

I made this Delicious Bannana Bread this past weekend and lets just say WE all LOVED IT! Both loaves were gone within 12 hrs.

OOOPS, I sure spelled Banana bread wrong, Just pretend maybe a 1 1/2 year old is telling how to say it !  :)
So, here is the yummy recipe:
2 Cups All purpose Flour
1/2-3/4 Cups Sugar
1 1/2 tsp. Baking Powder
1/2 tsp. Baking Soda
1/4 tsp. Salt
1 tsp. Cinnamon ( I ran out of cinnamon, SO i used Pumpkin Pie Spice!)
1 Cup Mashed Bannana
1 Egg
1/4 c. Vegtable Oil
1/4 Cup Milk
Stir together Flour, Sugar,Baking Powder,Baking Soda, Salt and Cinnamon ( or Pumpkin Pie Spice) in a mixing Bowl. Add: Bannan , eggs,vegtable oil and milk.Stir until well blended.Spoon batter into a greased 9x13 loaf pan
Bake at 350 Deg. For 1 hour.

MMMmmmmmm........Enjoy!

Tortilla Strips!

Here is how to make those Yummy Tortilla strips to add to your Favorite Enchilada or Taco soup!

Take some flour tortillas and cut into strips.

I like to use my Pizza cutter to make the strips !

 After they have been cut into desired size and amount put them into a large bowl and drizzle about 1/4 cup Olive oil and sprinkle desired salt and then MIX together will until all peices are covered.

 Then spread onto a linend baking pan and bake at 400 deg. for about 20 min. check frequently and also use a spatula to stir and flip strips about every 10 min.

 Then add to the soup. They are YUMMY and my family LOVES them!

Easy way for Kids to eat an apple

My GiRLS are really into eating apples for snacks. My 18 month old gets an apple out of the drawer of the fridge when she is playing in there. One of her new words is Apple along with I WANT. I saw this idea a long time back and decided I would try it. 

1 package of corn holders

put one on each end of the apple, be sure to explain they cant play with them cause they are sharp! 

Of course I can just cut them into apple slices and I have done that forever and also peeled the skin off, but while they are willing to eat them like this, they may as well :)

Yes, Its true making food fun for kids makes it lots funner for them to eat, and no more nagging from mom to eat their food. Iam a firm beleiver that my kids do NOT have to finish everything on their plates if they are full, but they do need to eat something on those plates.

So, heres a few things I do for my kids to make food fun:

  

Doodle and Bug both love eggs with the runny yoke. Doodle doesnt like the whites on the eggs, so i started making troast and cutting them in strips so she will get fuller instead of just eating the yokes. They both really like to dip the bread in the yoke and it is Yummy!

 Pizza made on Baguette bread!

Doodle loves to make her own pizza, i let her spread the sauce and put cheese on and them we let them bake until the cheese is melted. I thought this was fun, but the crust on the baguettes gets a little hard!

Daddy made these fun Pancakes!

We used the griddle so we would have alot of room, then put the pancake batter in a ketchup bottle and he spelled her name ! It was a big hit!

Cut the ends off of the watermelon and let them

 scoop it out and eat it just like its a bowl. They think its great!

I mae these fun Brownies for valentines day.I cooked them in a sheet cake pan and then just cut them out with a cookie cutter when they were cool! Doodle begs me to make these all the time!

Hurray, just one more thing I dont have to worry that I forgot to get at wal-mart!

I have found that If I use most coupons for Brand name items I can get the items for less than the generic brands!
